| T. Smibert's, 'The Clans of the Highlands of Scotland'
(1850) contains 55 tartan setts, provided in the greater part
by Wilson's of Bannockburn. Smibert was anxious to
'ascertain and establish' the genuine old setts before 'the
influx of such varieties made it impossible'. His name
appears on the list of subscribers to Logan's book, 'The
Scottish Gael' (1831).
