MacPherson Clan Tartan WR1411

| James Grant took all of the seventy two tartans in his book
from actual specimens in use at the time (1886). Many are
identical to those found in the earlier work of the Smith
brothers in 1850. Grants version shows a slight reduction
in the red ground showing the Victorian trend towards
more compact setts.
