| This is very probably the sett referred to in the records of
Wilson's of Bannockburn in 1793. The details are recorded
in a later manuscript dating about 1800 which are at
present in the Royal Museum of Scotland. It is therefore
the oldest but not quite the same as the tartan called 'Old
Gala Water'!
