|The fragment in the collection of the Highland Society of
London, preserved in the Scottish National Museum, is
made of very fine threads and labelled 'Old home made'.
It has been suggested that the light green colour may, in
fact, be light crimson, a mistake arising from the letters
used to record the sett. LC being light crimson and LG
being light green. If this were so, the tartan would be
much the same as the usual Spens tartan and similar in
many respects to the Perthshire District sett.
